Right, I need to do some welding at the weekend, nothing too demanding (its a fence lol)

Got my welder out today to check it over, and its leaking from the gun. Stripped it down and found the part to blame, its the gas control bit.

Its leaking from the back, I can't work out how to strip it down. Can these be replaced? Its needed for sunday :(

Ps. the welder is a Sealey mighty mig 130 xt

If it's a Sealey you should be able to get the parts no problem, do as Pete says. IIRC Sealey or SIP also make Snap-On MiG's so if you see the Snap-On man in his van, pull him over lol.

Also, can you not bodge it? Is it cracked on the housing or something?

right I've got it part, it just slide apart lol. Was sealed i think ;)

Anyway, it looks like the the small o ring rubber seal need replacing. Wheres the best place to head?! plumbers?

i no halfords do a variety of o-rings or try any local engineering firms??

I was going to pop to halfrauds for some paint... I'll have a mooch.

Its poo round here for anything engineering related :(

you can get a really long 'extansion bar' for the torch which is somtimes nicknamed a lance
