Admiral/elephant with parents as second drivers?

How old are you, what postcode area, and what quotes have you been getting so far?

churchill mate all mine cost more with parents as 1st or second drivers but depends on the company

qoutes are usually cheaper if you give the company a ring too

So for £715 you will be a named driver on your mums policy. Or £1715 on your own...farking hell lol

I don't know why insurers let youngs drivers have insurance policies as a named driver on a parent when it's obvious the car belongs tot he named younger driver...

I always wonder how they'd prove who does the most miles in it etc.

Car insurance firms are rejecting a thousand claims a year as some parents and children lie to save money, says the Financial Ombudsman Service.
A fraud called "fronting" occurs when a young person has a car in their own name, but the insurer is falsely told that a parent is the main driver.
Premiums are cut by hundreds of pounds but claims are rejected as the driver is told they are not properly insured. The young drivers can also find themselves in court

It all depends who is the main user of the vehicle. Whoever is the main user, the policy needs to be in thier name, and the vehcile should be registered to them as well.

This would be down to an insurance investigator to sort out.

Its a case of proving you don't drive it the most. Which is tough, especially if mummy has her own car.
