Hi all,

I've had a look through the search, but I was wondering if anyone has any pics of painted XE rocker covers?

My original idea has gone tits up, and now i'm stumped... Its a white semi GTe rep.

Was thinking white with blue or blue with yellow??

Any ideas or pics much appreciated!!

Chris

Mines polished. White under the bonnet is a no no for me. Especially on rockers...Might go "yellow" in time. Maybe Blue and a white plug cover?

Win.

Blue rocker cover would look wrong if the car is white IMO.

Orrr.... buy my shiny one :D

I'm not that much of a mincing tart... The car isn't a looker. But would be nice to be able to open the bonnet and not feel embarressed :)

Painting has begun...

However, when i started it was sunning so i thought i'd paint outside. Put two coats on happy days... Then it started spitting... :(

It wasnt really bad, but the covers got wet. I've dried them off but its marked the paint :( just my luck.
This'll sound terrible but I'm not going to redo them it took long enough before, so we'll have to wait and see how they turn out. I knew it was going to well lol

Put them indoors, heat/warmth may sort it. As long as the paint was touch (ish) dry, they should be fine.

Have done that and the paint has bubbled slightly... Not amused... Ah well will be better than the crap on the car atm. Really cant afford to buy another £20 on paint as well.

just rub it down and give it another layer or two. go somewhere other than halfords and buy a tin for £4.

I think the finish will be good enough, thats not a cop out my engine bay needs more work than the covers lol

I think they'll still look good. Gave them another coat and its not too bad now.
