Hi,
This must annoy other people, but when people open their door on other peoples car's it really pi***s me off, i have taken my bump stripes of my doors like many, if someone hit my door it would at least scratch my 20 year old paintwork and i would be miffed to say the least. Anyway what is a subtle way of getting them back? Because they did it too my mates car.
Cheers

This annoys the hell out of me too. One afternoon, mate went in the garage, i was still sat in the car. Woman comes out opens her door BANG into his. I look across and show i'm not impressed...no reaction whatsoever!!! Funks me off.

Unfortunately we live in a society in which some people love and cherish their cars in all aspects, to those who just drive them between destinations! these people drive the red ones that are now pink cos it was polished when it was new
i wouldnt really try get them back cos firstly u didnt like it done to u and u may get the wrong persons car
My advice is to be more choosey where/how u park. pick the end bay then you can park closer to the kerb stone/ painted line which means one side of the car is never exposed to a car door opening on it and the other side is that little bit further away from the only car next to it giving urself and the other driver a little more safe, no more car park dents YAY!

Thats terrible u may have done it to the wrong car, unless u actually saw who did it! but if you did then u should have gone give them a piece of ur mind. u wouldnt like ur car keying, even the people who just see a car as a car dont like vandalism:tard:
I can sympathise with all of the above. Some people just take the p!ss! It's usually the ones who just see their car as transport and nothing else.
I was sat in Lolvo in Morrisons during the day and was 'doored' three times in about 1.5 hours. I had words with all of them, or exchanged p!ssed off looks. Wound the window down to tell one guy and he said
'Mine's newer, I should be more bothered yours is only worth a few quid!'
I said 'Not really mate, seeing as you caused it, and I'd like to see the state of yours in 25 years time'
He responds with a laugh and something like 'Buy a decent car' whilst walking away.
Must be his Renault Modus that had a creased rear door when he returned to it. Shame! lol
Maybe a bit harsh, but the car had zero dents/dings on it before and I'm noticing loads now. If he had apologised I would have been fine with it I guess.

lol i can kind of relate to this...a while back waiting in a queue to get out of work, some nobhead drives along the back bumper of my calibra. I got out expecting serious damage (the rudder/prop might have been caught:roll: lol ) a little scuff along the rubbing strip. His car a new Jazz (lease car) front wing, drivers door and rear door, creased/scratched. Oh how i laughed!!!

Are the Honduh lease cars anything like the Nissan factory employee NEVOS scheme I wonder? Any minor stone chip, dirty floor mats etc. and when it goes back you are raped for the 'repair costs'

I'll probably get roasted by the female members for this, but who cares. IME its women who tend to dint other cars in car parks. One of the most prominent dings in my doors was caused by a girl I was *cough* "seeing" at one point opening my door slap into a concrete telegraph pole. Another ex used to open the door as far as it would go each time she got out - if I was in a car park, she would open the door up so it was touching the car next to mine.

WTF. Most of these types sell their cars before the first test is due IMO lol
As the car is 'old' Either shout/punch the bloke that done it or maul his car. It's like when some t0sser attempted to run me over when I was crossing a road once (zebra crossing). I tried to open his door to get at him, he spun away, cue one size 10 into his quarter panel. Still never stopped lol
Roof/quarter is what to target if they really take the piss IMO. The idea of lying on your back drilling someones sills is laughable lol. Especially if you target a galvanised car that probably won't show it for years if ever lol

LMFAO slightly OT but that just reminded me of my bifterish ex at a local car show a few years back. I was there with CCUK, car looking extra polished as I'd just spent the last few days cleaning it. She kept leaning on the rear wing, leaving big greasy marks over it (smothered herself in suncream hence grease and shiz) - despite me telling her not to every time, dozy bint. In the end I just put a microfibre cloth over the wing and have a pic of her looking disgruntled leaning on that lol

I used to park my nova out the way where no other cars were parked. Like 6 spaces each side of my car. Everytime i cam back there would be a car in the bay next to mine!! Really pisses me off.
I now take to parking diagonally accross 2 spaces if its not busy :)
Iirc this thread or a similar one came up a few years back which resulted in phil sutton stating that if he found people parking across bays to stop others parking next to them then he would squeeze his car in as close as possible just to piss em off lol

i've heard tell of a manchester VW lad with a revenge story i cringed at...
he was getting out of his car in a carpark, a range rover pulled up next to his pride and joy and opened her door onto his, denting the bodywork. he had a word with her and she replied "its a carpark, you should expect some damage" before walking off. he waited a short while, got a screwdriver out of his car and went down the side of her car punching at intervals, leaving a note on her window reading "its a carpark, you should expect some damage, xxx"...
and i dont condone this type of action, before anyone jumps at me

in Hinckley Tesco, which is right next to the railway station, if you park in more than one space, some git clamps you or sticks a £70 fine on your screen. the locals are so offended by the private parking company that patrols the carpark (ninjas can't even hope to sneak up like these fellas) that they are boycotting the store.

I have a story! which ended badly!
sitting in my mr2 in a car park waiting for a job interview. Old guy comes out of a building and slams his door into mine actually causing some damage (he has big 4 x 4). He drives of so i get out and take his car reg number. he sees me taking it and speeds back and starts screaming at me. he leans into my car and tries to hit me! at this point my bf at the time got out and it ended in a not so pretty fight :-( so even if someone does hit my car now i try to hold back with having words with them incase!

Got to admit if someone dings mine I usually return the favour if there's no camera's about.
Got back to my car once and someone had parked so close that both our drivers mirrors were almost touching each-others cars, had to wait for the chump to come back to it before giving him some verbal. When he pulled out of the space with fingers in the air (after getting into his car by forcing his door into mine putting a huge crease in it) he ended up needing a new rear quarter panel.
