What mods had you done to the engine to get that power from a 1.6 8v?!?
Torque and power cross in the correct place 5250rpm.

Thats cool lol sounds about right, as said best way t check a power and torque curve is correct, they should cross at 5250rpm :)
Have you blown the gearbox or something?

Fooking jesus..thats some good power from a 1600 8v. Whats wrong with the current box? Maybe go to an F15??

I'm not that genned up, but would an F15 be stronger then? Gearing might be different also.

I *think* F15's come on GTE's/GSi's....so shafts shouldnt be a problem.

F13's on gte's probably gsi's and corsa's run f16 i believe.
F13cr will give the acceleration, and low top end 117mph ish
Thought about quife internals?

F13cr's were fitted to both GTE's and GSi's.
F15's come from corsa 1.4+1.6 16v's, they're a little bit stronger than an F13 and the ratios are a little different.
F16's are big block box's (1.8 +2.0).
I am guessing that modding the diff cover by drilling & tapping a thread so a plug can be fitted to speed up changing the gearbox oil would be a good idea, then change the oil after every hard session, ie. pod, or track day.
this should help the boxes survive a lot longer.

I like that idea :)
sometimes old fashioned thinking is better...

any ideas what the differance it will be top end and acceleration between the 2 box's ????

pics or GTFO...
45mm TB's on a fairly normal specced 1.6 8v.... somewhat overkill and pointless. Either someone fisted you for the build, or you are blagging :D
Those portable RR's are less than accurate so dont worry.
as for boxes, I'd say a decent condition F13CR with a 4.18 FD would be ideal for all round. Top end will be about 125mph on 15's wheels and a 7500ish rpm rev limit, and acceleration will be spot on.
