The check strap is different on the shell side - on a Mk1 its screwed on, where as a Mk2 has it tacked on. You could just drill and screw a Mk2 one onto a Mk1 shell, or vice versa.

Aside from that you'll be fine.

Or they both unbolt from inside the door in the same way or just knock the pin out and remove the bolt on bit if its going on a mk2 or add it if theyre mk2 doors onto a mk1!
