For the amount of work involved u may as well gain the extra 100cc,

Unless the 1.3 is shagged or you can't afford the insurance.

its an easy swap
i put my sr box on my 1.2 while i rebuild my 1400
took a friday nite to complete
you will need the selector off a 5 speed or mod the 4 speed one to allow you to bend across into 5th

thanks for the replys, gonna get me bro to have a look and swap em over for us,

chris_sr... the car is me gf's bro, and he's only just recently passed, would effect his insurance to much, if i droped the 1.3 in for him, 100cc xtra aint too fussed cos we swapping the inlet manifold with carbs, and zorst 4-2-1 manifold, and possy the cam too.

also, one more thing, i was gonna swap the dash over, sr one look bit better the standard, is this possible without too much agro ?

Is it just the clock set you are going to swap over? Its very easy - cant remember if you need to remove the trim surround first - have a look for any screws, then just prise out the clocks at the bottom first then lift out the complete unit but slowly as you will need to disconnect the speedo cable (press down on spring clip) and multi plug.
Slide the clocks to the side to clear the steering wheel.

Just plug the new clocks in but you might have to push the speedo cable down and route it to the left of the metal dash support as the SR speedo is to the left and the standard one is centered.

u have to put the cable to the left hand side of the support coz i didnt and i broke the cable and the clocks when i couldnt get it in , also u will have to run a wire to the coil for the rev counter
