Car broken into :'(

I was late for work today so when i drove in i parked down the road opposite (tesco) and legged it in, i alarmed and locked up as usual, so i thought everything was fine. Clocked in at 10am, and left today at 4pm.

As i walked up to my car i thought thats weird, the door is like half open half shut, i get closer and the door lock is completely fuked, not screwdrivered i mean smashed off big time and a dent from where they did it.

I deactivate the alarm, ?350 of clifford and it beeps 3 times so the alarm went off, well at least that worked. My crappy ?10 tape headunit is still there and so are the 6x9s. They are the only things worth stealing, the alarm must have scared them off. What i dont understand is, if u see a flashing red L.E.D y bother? i mean the alarm is gona go off and theres fuk all worth stealing, the car has like 3 immoblisers so they rnt gona take it and it was in daylight with people abt.

Been down the police station, very helpfull guy, took details and gettin finger prints at 8am, im sure its a pointless exercise but i feel i have to cause of the pikey cnuts, really runied my weekend which was otherwise good.

Now im looking for some blanking plates, if any of you read total vauxhall and u remember the guide to buying a nova SR, the bloke had these blanking plates on his car. Im gona swap driver for passenger door lock and blank the other till i can afford to get the RCL. Anyone know where i can get these it wud help loads, also if ne1 has any ill drive there 2morro to get them no worries as im on reading week for uni.

get some washers and tack on a bolt on the back and put them in place looks the same and costs about 20p :!:

I know that it isnt the way that they got into your car, but when i had mine done, screwdriver in lock, i totally changed the locks. It also acts as a theif deterant. I bought some locks from www.speeding.i.am on the security section for ?35 and it hasnt been touched since them. It may look different and a bit out of place but if you look at locks i personally think that they will act as a theif dterrant. They were a piece of piss to change aswell. Took bout 1 hour for both.

The problem with LED's is that most theives will give the car a try anyway, as alot of people buy led's and not an actual alarm as a deterent. One of them things, just look at how you can stop them from getting in again.

I had that in my white nova! Some **** busted lock in, nicked absolutely nothin! Not even ?70 coat on back seat!

Brought ordered remote CL kit etc and 3 days lata my car got written off coz some prick smashed into me!

He wasnt insured and i threatened him so he coughed a grand in fifties that day! (Car only set me back ?325 lol - B Reg)

Then like just after i got in from crash, still shoken up (Quite Major) the central locking kit arrives!!

N e way, brought a 1.2 on a J and delocked etc but had a choice ?250 to ?300 on a CAT 1 or a Snap off steering system and new wheel!!

I went for the snap off! At the end of the day, you could have TOAd or CLIFFORD stickers everywhere and have no alarm but when they look through window and see no steering wheel and a little LED from a shitty sparkrite alarm then bit of a put off!

Anyway, maybe the lesson is go for maximum obvious deterrent, not maximum security! (Even though snap off os pretty amazin!)

i ahd my door screwdriverd in broad daylight too, nothing was taken as the alarm scared them off. i replaced my locks with the solex round ones.

as for replacing the locks, you take the door cards off, peel the plastic back and theres a half spring clip around the lock, pop that off and the lock can be pushed out and disconnected from the lock bar.

i had my door crowbarred back on xmas day. came out to find both my doors open although they didn't nick owt. Must've tried to start it too as they fooked steering column. Luckily it doesn't start too easily when its cold.

I mean who the f*ck would want to nick a 1l nova saloon. So they got nowt and it's prob gonna cost me ?100 for a new door coz they bent it back so far.
