oh and an auto would be a bonus, but not nessecary...
Shouldnt you be getting a driving licence before a car though rob?
Really, and when did you re-aqquire that then?
Good lad tis about bloody time:thumb:
Id avoid the 306D-Turbo as insurers know they are easily play-withable lol
mmmm, yet i get £450 fully comp quotes on em with 9 points.....
jus looking at astra mk3 estates on teh bay......
any more ideas?
Corsa B 1.2 or something like that, you should be able to find one for pennies i reckon:thumb:

there is that but is the cav as much fun as the nova to drive lol
306 durbo is insurance friendly, one of the best power-to-insurance-group ratios available for something cheap.
Cav or vectra would also be a good choice. Senator or early omega too, but you're looking at minimum 1.8 so insurance may be an issue, however it would be a mile muncher and comfortable.
What about dub - golf? Jetta? Passat? Cheap and reliable for older stuff. Insurance shouldn't be too much on base spec models.
As for auto, fcuk that and tell Tania to learn to drive a proper gearbox.
i may have a 1.7 mrk3 astra for sale soon.
Its pink.
Sorry paded red but i will polish it up first.

You made a descision on what your going to get mate ? or have you got anything already ?
im still looking mate, but im being drawn to jap stuff atm as the missus just bought a celica gt and i remembered how good they are. if not a astra mk3 estate is where my cash is going... dubs are nice but expensive tbh...
really stupid idea as the look sh!te...but..
how about a colt c50, 1.3? really cheap.. and the handle quite well. and the dont rust. i'm driving 1 as a daily, bought it for 250 euro's.
never looked at it, and she's still running fine. and i've got some one who wants to buy it for 500 lmfao.
how about a colt c50, 1.3? http://files.myopera.com/shyam_kindalkar/albums/64124/Slap.gif

VR6 for £1k
true mike, but i'm not a vr6 fan tbh, 20v turbo ftw! i did win an astra mk3 cdx estate with leather etc in 2.0 flavour, but the guy emailed me and said the cam belt had snapped. gutted tbh. theres a tidy c reg 525 beemer kicking round thats for sale, i may go for a look....
How can you not be a fan of 200 something lb/ft of torque as standard & scope for 300 bhp for less then £1000?
teh dated 12v design, and the general design, and the fact most have been ragged, and need rebuilds, or at least cam chains. 20vt all the way mate. in a mk1 goof, mmmmmmmmm...........
