My nova handled like a go kart when i got it and now its plain scary, keeps feeling like the wheels arnt going wheer im steering them at pretty low speeds as well as trying to corner quicker.

My back end keep trying to step out.

MY tracking was waay out before now is better. I have changed my tyres, and still no luck

Could it be a damaged anti roll bar caused by pot holes?

Anywhere specifically to check?

What wheels, tyres and tyre pressures are you using, and when did you last replace the shocks and bushes all round?

mk3 astra sport 15"

yokohama 195/50/15s all round, 1 has a different tread pattern but has the same aamount of tread

28psi i think

It has bilstein shocks all round they look ok but could be quite old

havent got a clue with the bushes, ive had the car less than a month and done 1000miles

If you push one corner of the car down with your bodyweight, then quickly let go, does the car bounce, or just return to its normal stance?

jack up one front wheel in turn and check for play in the top steering rack mount on the hub, the wheel bearing, bottom ball joint and top suspention mount.

With the back end trying to step out, I'd also have a good check of the rear wheel bearings, as they tend to go slack for fun.

It seamed fine, ive just done the drivers outside cv boot

could be rear bearings, have had a dodgy rumbling halfway round corners, thought for them it would be all thge time tho

Wheel bearings only start rumbling under load around a corner at first, then they gradually degrade until they rumble all the time!

Are the tyres Yokohama A539s? The criss cross pattern ones? They are great in the dry but only get worse and worse in the damp/wet. And its been fairy damp round shropshire lately!

Black Bilsteins by any chance? (as opposed to Yellow)

Are the rear springs secure in the spring saddles & not punching up through into the boot floor?

Cheers, was pretty sure that would be it, as mine suffered from worn stub axles so always had a bit of play under load. The mid-corner rumbling is definately a sign of them needing attention too in my experience.

yeh like brains said, check your top and bottom ball joints for wear or leaks, or possibly there just loose, check there nipped up tight. ive had a bottom joint go loose on me before, made the handling go a bit jelly.

the cornering grumble might be outer c.v's if not wheel bearings. check you dont have a boot split on your c.v joints, and im not even gonna say anything about the wheel bearings, they can be an apsolute asshole to diagnose, ive come to the conclusion the only real way to check a front bearing is to take the front hub off the car, only then will it tell you its knakered. but dont go stripping your car on my account, just my experience.

edit : fcuk me this was last month,, how the fcuk

I did the bearings a couple of weeks ago but forgot to update

The rumblings gone, the handling isnt 100% so will check the ball joints. I did the drivers side CV boot last month
