Easter sunday roadtrip!

Hey all,

It was easter sunday and me and the missus had arranged to have a little road trip to see some friends and a rather special car that has been off the scene for some years now. Off we went on our way to Cumbria the weather was very sunny and the scenery was very picturesque (plenty of stone walls and SHEEP!) This was the point at which I realised I should have maybe brought my wellies! Anyhow we finally made it to matt172 and his missus Jo's new pad. Shortly after that we left the women chatting and made our way to matts garage. The last time I saw his car it was in this state.......

However this was some years ago so I was eager to see its present state as I know Matts been making a few SMALL changes for some time now. Here's what was lurking under the cover.....

Although its in rather a few pieces Matt has some lairy plan for it although a lot of the one off/fancy parts will be staying. I'd actually forgotten how many cool parts it has! which led to it being so far ahead of the game a few years back........

Once this motor returns to the scene Im sure it will be once again show stopping as it always was although it may take him a little while to complete yet as his wanted spec list keeps getting upgraded! Whilst we were viewing cars I had a little look round his mrs motor.... The 30k little white stunner....

Super clean and no rust at all! An excellent base to start from... lets hope his your missus keeps on top of it fella!
Also lets hope this thread may inspire him into starting his own wip to keep us updated!

Good to see it again, even in that state of build.

Matt copped a fair bit of stick after he 1st bought it but he's making it his own now & I've come to the conclusion with mine that there is no point rushing things to get it to a show/weekend etc. Once the date has passed it's irrelevant in some ways. Much like I doubt Keith cares much for missing PV08 now.
