Pm Benn. He is the polishing God.
You can pick up a mop wheel set with soaps from ebay, they are ment to be used on bench grinders, but you can fit them to a drill but the speed wont be as good. If you can find the adaptor from a angle grinder thern you'll be set as they are faster.
First get it clean. Whats the finish like? If it isnt bad you can sand it or even some time working hard with red scotch bright. If not then.
Then you can start sanding it. This can take some time.
Sand with 320 grit, then 800, then 1000. Then start buffing it with the harder mop wheel with the darker soap, till the shine comes up.
The use the softer wheel and the lighter soap. Till shiney and till you cant see the sanding marks.
Any more needed just ask.
