rebuild time- take 3

hi all im gaz, ive put a few posts up but not really got involved. ok so where to start-
originally i bought a blue gsi and after some time taking it to pieces and doing much welding i decided to scrap the shell as it was in need of more work than i could handle.

enter merit plus- first time stripped and rebuilt with new front wings the gsi spec interior and exterior from blue one put on merit. and then resprayed flame red and glacier white. many various stickers (and engines- 5 iirc)

after a couple of years it slowly degraded and now its rebuild time

plans are to go back to a 1.6 8v lump maybe turbo still undecided.
new front wings, rear arches, outer sills, front end panel,
full respray in 1 colour thinking red or blue- would like some feed back on colour option as i cant decide.

think thatll do for now have loads to say but i prefer pictures will post some more later.

working out cruise control at the moment. will put up a how to when i get it working.

Still looks tidy and has some nice bits on it. Very interested to know what that front splitter is tho.

just had the rear bumper off. looks like im gonna need a rear panel too.:cry:

i dont know if i can justify rebuilding it anymore...

Crack on with it mate, mines needed a full new front end...front inner wings re-built, arches etc etc

I would keep at it dude, as i said you dont need to complete the rebuild right now, just keep doing bits and pieces over time and keep having a look at other projects to get some inspiration.

Mine is worse than yours im just planning on doing it when i can be bothered and not rushing it, IMO thats the best way as if you arent in the mood i found that i just tried to think of ways to bodge it and rush to get it done when in the end it wont last and will look crap.
