Whats the deal?

Hi lads whats the deal with the sun roof model of novas i keep hearing people pulling them down, im pretty new to the whole nova seen ive only had 3 so im just a little curious as to whats the problem with them

any help would be great thanks

Think its all about strength in the shell... the lack of strength due to a giant hole there lol

yup im welding a plate were the hole is in mine

Some people are wierd and dont like them but the tilt slide types have drainage pripes down the B pillar to the sills and the C pillar to the boot corners, when the drain holes in the sills get blocked they rot the sills faster and the boot pipes often pop out of the drain holes and can flood/rot the boot this could be a major reason!

It helps lol the normal ones of us use the factory fitted windows that unwind lol

Ive got a factory fitted sunroof in my 83 A reg nova, it a single left up vison. I like it...gives extra light and abit more retro.

my dads window got shatterd years ago on the way home from nottingham in his devon camper lol we had to knock it all out and drive home nice day for it but the bugs hurt though lol

i only took mine out due to the fact its a track car and it weighs a lot so i put a plat over it
