im guessing your talking about the input shaft you pulled out to remove the clutch, if its not going in easy then its not lined up correctly. have you still got the bolt in the end of it? if so give it a couple taps with a rubber hammer LIGHTLY if its a little bit out then it will correct itself and go in fine after that, if it doesnt more your going to need to get someone to turn the engine by hand slowly whilst you push the shaft back in

If it dont go in easy then the clutch isnt aligned or you done up the bolts before putting the input shaft in. OR you have the wrong clutch lol

as above leave the clutch loose untill you have the imput shaft fully in then do up the 11mm bolts on the pressure plate.

What Ernie said ^^

I leave the clips on the cover plate and just loosely fit the bolts, then shove the input shaft into the friction plate (followed by the bolt and circlip to stop it coming back out) before tightening the pressure plate down and removeing the clips. This way is the easiest for ensuring it's all lined up.

Also if you've already got the bolt in the end of the shaft you should be able to turn it a little to get the splines lined up.
