Has anyone else experience a stuck height adjust not on their Avo coilovers, I loosened the grub screws and spayed them with wd40 but it doesn't want to move and I need to compensate for the extra engine weight. Is the only option to send them to Avo, for a refurb or cut them off and buy new ones. Any help will be much appreciated as always.

mine have been on the car for 2 years only 400 miles though and there as free as a bird can be moved easy i wouldnt send them for a refurb just yet are you using a "c" spanner to try to adjust them. if not get one makes things so much easier.

Yeah I tried a c spanner first but started chewing the end of it up, then I tried a big pair of pipe grips, that are usually used for squeezing caliper pistons back in but still nothing

Its only ally and I thought I'd ask before hitting it with a hammer, I'll probably be resorting to that tomorrow lol

you would prob melt it with heat, when i got mine they didnt come with a c-spanner so i used a hammer and punch, maybe try that?

..shouldnt melt with a bit of heat..?
a hammer n punch is sure to wreck the ali-made cups tho..?

Hammer and chisel i used on mine. Even tho the threads were clean and not rusty, the platforms were seized solid.
Heat is a good idea as the alloy will expand quicker than the shock

as Adam and others say heat it up alloy expands at a quicker rate than steel so in theory it should free off give it a tap with a hammer as well to shock it free whilst heating.
