GTE "Recaro" seat questions

hiya, about to buy some GTE seats to go into my Nova:D , need to ask a couple of questions.
first off, the recaro badges are missing:cry: , can i get these seperatly?
Secondly one of the headrest "tubes" is broken, are these replacable & availible??
Finially the rear seats are 60/40 split and the current ones in my car are not, is there anything needed to be done to fit them??

The split rear seats have (two?) extra brackets on the floor in the middle.

You will need to drill out the old brackets form a scrap shell, or find some for sale. Then weld them to your car.

Brackets are under the 2 grey plastic covers.

These will be the two brackets I doubt you have. You'll probably have the drill out the spot welds and weld them to your floor.

funk was afraid of that, ok will have to try to find some then get my hands on them. Any help with the other questions yet?

you dont need the brackets, split rear seats fit fine in base spec novas and the seats never came with recaro badges from the factory

?? its the middle brackets that are for the 40/60 seats photoed above, thses seats did have the recaro badges on them as they have been removed at some point

i had blue sri seats in my base spec nova and i didnt have any brackets and they still sat there fine, would fail an mot though. saves trying to get the brackets imo.

i got kids that will be going in the back, they not going to be just for show so ill be getting the brackets.

Next ones please, the recaro badges (just about to search ebay) if they not there can they be bought from either recaro or Vauxhall?
Also the headrest wastsits that hold the headrest on, can they be bought?

yer and the cops will ram the book so far up ya jacksie, you'lll be sore till xmas 2015. seriously, its a violation of oooooh 5 laws (off top of my head). one which is a max of a £5k fine and 5 years jail.

Which GTE seats are you talking about. IIRC Astra GTEs did come with Recaro? badges.

Or are you referring to Nova GTE seats, as they dont have badges.

Nova ones, these ones did had the badges put on them. Can tell as they have 2 holes and they material is erm, different, you can tell that they been there

Do you have pics mate, I'm pretty sure Nova seats didnt come with badges.

i saw them 4 sale b4 on the Recaro website, if this is still poss i dont know?

they must have been sown in cos they were fitted on the mk1 astra SR or on the Mk1 GTE but with GTE on not recaro

im lead to believe the GTE SR GSI sat from the nova are recaro frames but were then trimmed by vauxhall

think i have the rear of the 2 bracketts you need?

hiya mark, i know for a fact that they are similar to the ones on fords. as there is 2 holes in the backs and the squoval shape there. Ill have a look on recaro website.
I seen them on Nova recaros before so they have been fitted, the seats might have had them fitted or not.

Nova GTE/SR seats did not come with recaro badges - but I have seen ones that people have added badges later in their life

They were indeed trimmed by vauxhall on recaro frames

If you can get a bracket for rear seats, the seat belt mounting bolt will hold it secure

yes plz mark, would be a great help, if you can find it please PM me with a posted price. Im going to try to get the brackets sorted right, i need them to be for reasons detailed earlier, i deffo need to put the badges back on, think ill have to source some ford type ones (the pined ones) like the ones that appear to have been used in there before.
now, i have them sorted the headrest tuby, holder, thingy, someone going to have to give me the technical term lol, are these replaceable? of is it just going to be something i need to live with?

Right put the GTE seats in today (slightly annoying as i was hoping that the seat mounts on the old seats could be used but found out they couldnt be!) now these headrest mounts, i need to know if they are removable (without breaking them!)? if they are how do you remove them as i want to change them over from my old seats to my new ones :D anyone knows please let me know soon as :D
