View Full Version : Hire spot welder?

Right lads i'm after a spot welder to hire or borrow one from some one for the daywill pay if someone can borrow me one. i've tried hss hire but they are 240v but have a 36amp plug on it not no good as it needs to be 240v help need as i want to start it sunday.

36amp fuse? WTF? As long as its 230-240v on single phase itll work in domestic 3 pin plug socket.

Or are you on about the fuse size with regards to a domestic ring main?

hss hire it has a blue plug on it like 110v one's and its for my rear quaters.

they should give you the correct transformer/adaptor to use it if you rent one...

it wont be on 110v, the blue plug is 240v and when you hire it you will get a adapter with the blue end and a normal 3pin plug,

just use a mig welder and spot weld punch. will be much cheaper and quicker imo

and much stronger wouldnt advise using a spotwelder using the house mains lol 6mm spotweld drill bit drill the holes out and fill them with the mig the spotwelder we use in work is 12,000 amp lol
