right i have put a 20xej engine in my nova and i wired it in and got it to start for all of about 3 seconds until it cut out and now it will not start now and i can not get a spark from the coil but ive got power going to the coil so i changed the coil and ignition moduel and it still didnt work so please has any body got any ideas on what it could be PLEASE HELP ME

was the coil you put on working before you swopped it might be a case of 2 duff coils or as dave said is it imobilsed ? the 3 seconds of running could be just the excess fuel getting used up

the engine was stud for a year and there wasnt any excess fuek there so i cant sea it being that

Check over wiring for your coil. If changing it doesnt sort it, then it must be a break in the wiring somewhere.

dodgy earth maybe? or fuel pump relay?

ive changed the fuel pump relay and when i put the test light on the eingine was earthed ok
