go under the bonnet and spin the blower fan. watch your fingers.

Sounds like your blower motor has burnt out or seized, remove the rubber strip along the top of the firewall and remove the plastic cover under the scuttle panel and your motor lives under there, its two nuts (6 or 8 mil iirc) and one multi plug, tbh its not overly hard to do but just fiddly getting the cover off and on:thumb:

You can fiddle em out with the battery in situ but its a pia so battery removal is probably the easier option lol

if you go to my project thread there's a photo of my new one
it took two minutes to fit
like allready said remove plastic cover under scuttle panel
then remove top round cover over motor
held on with plastic clips, (abit of a wiggle with a flat blade screw driver)
then two small posi screws hold motor on
job done :thumb:

Haven't converted from a Mk1 to a Mk2 dash have you?

Could be the resistor or whatever it is on the motor. Mine went poop so swapped over with a working one.

As jack said, if it only works on full then the resistor pack attatched to the motor will be blown, and they're not a plug-in item so you'll need to change the whole motor.

mk2 cavs use the same blower motors as nova's if you stumble across one.

had a early start of 2.45pm lol the fan fuse was blown so i borrowed the front fan fuse turned the fan on nout took the plastic cover off spun the fan by hand while still turned on it it was stiff free;d it off a little bit started to spin slow on its own the revs dropped and then fan stopped revs picked up and a blown fuse lol so that means no i cant really drive my car because i have a blown fan fuse aswell lol ill take the heater fan off give it a clean up get it spinning again when i can get a 8mm socket lol
