it seems as tho evry ones car is in for its mot recently and mines no differant lol
i had a quick check round it last nite the only thing thats bothering me is that its a k reg and i dont have a cat on mine and am not sure about the emmisions :roll:
other than that evry thing seems ok ill let you know how it goes :thumb:

depending on the condition of the engine the emmissions can still be passed without the cat.

i thought about buying some of that emmision reducer and sticking it in the tank and going for a good thrash first lol

Nice one.
Putting my Novas through MOT's is the worst thing in my life tbh.
none of my cars have ever passed first time. always costs me hundreds!

its a 1.4i and the emissions limit was 3.50% mine was 0.54% with no cat lol
a good thrash before the test may have helped tho lol

mines just a well serviced engine and used daily
before i took it for test i gave it a good trashing up to 100-110 mph (on private land of course lol) which i think gave it a good clear out lol

If you car needs a cat then it will not pass a mot without it.

advisory for too low? man i didnt even get that this time last year when i put it through the test - infact didnt even get one advisory.

i think they only gace me the advisory becouse it took it for test on 14 inch steels coz i needed a tyre on the softstars lol

Some Wynn's petrol treatment in the tank, mines failed on a temperature sensor as well - The emissions were just over the limit and with the above done it dropped to virtually 0 emissions...even with the Magnex backbox fitted

Not if the emissions are below the required level.
Congrats on the mot mate. It feels like a long wait during it doesnt it.
My 1st project Nova failed on 2 brake flexis and emissions.
My 2nd (recent) project went through without a fault. However I did get it tuend and lights adjusted beforehand!
