Been looking into getting one of these for my project. do these bolt on to the original column mounts? or is some cutting/welding required? do the original nova indicator stalks/ignition barrel fit on to the column?

any info, experiences, help, would be great. thanks in advance.

Craig's using a corsa gsi pas rack with a saxo elictric pump iirc.

i wanted to use the pas column cause you can straighten out the dodgey nova steering angle with the double uj's.
was hoping it aint to big job???

was looking at this;

with something like this ( seen them MUCH cheaper );

wondered if anyone else has done this?????

Not sure about mounting onto the same mounts but i presuming your have to make a bracket to hold the motor in place aswell.

You wouldnt need the first link if you got a speed sensor from a 1.2i nova eather.

It might be worth searing power steering on here, as i put up a thread ages back. (problery december ish)

You will need to make up a bracket for where the column mounts at the back.
You will use the origonal 2 top / front mounts but will need to add a spacer of about 1" or the column will sit to high.
The ECU will need modifying as you will have no speed sensor. Harry Hockly motorsport or e-bay do these.
Origonal wiper / indicator stalks fit.
You will need to modify the uj linkage from column to rack as its to long.
I believe the worst bit is the ignition barrel wont lign up with cowling. I dont use this as i'am on toggle switches & push button so not sure how far out it is.

Sounds alot to do but really its quite easy and self explanitoty when you have a column.

Ooh yea and Corsa B is best or you will need new steering wheel boss as Corsa C are different to Nova.

I personally took colum top mount off the car and re welded to the right a bit and down a bit lower, to cover clearance issues and to get steering wheel in the centre.

Then made a bracket up to hold the ecu in place with couple bolts down in the arch area.

And then go on ebay and buy an adjustable speed sensor. And rest all lined up fine, bit of wiring, easy power steering!!
