just watched this and all i can say is its back to its best thought the last 2 were a bit rope but bringing vin diesel and paul walker back has done the trick, not gonna say what happens but its well worth a watch. oh one thing i will say is that an rs200 has a cameo dint realize the americans had such taste
i thought this wasnt out till the 10th
Probably pre-screening/advance or shonkey copy.
Local flicks says
Vin Diesel and Paul Walker return to the Fast and Furious franchise for its explosive final chapter.
YAY :D

hopefully matey but i dont know i cant see it being that way!!
id have thought this would be poo they are too unrealistic for me first one was not too bad but the rest have been utter ****e!!
totally agree, first one not too bad, second one rubbish ( mainly because every car seamed to have 25 speed gearbox lollollol ), tokyo drift nonsense ( reminded me of my local currys carpark full of chavs in e30's ).
getting copy of this tonight, hoping its not 2.50 wastedlollollollol.
Edd
I think the first was ok, 2nd was god awful, 3rd was an improvment on the second (not hard), will go to the cinema to watch the 4th but not expecting much.
The first one was Ok because it had Vin Derv in it lol
It still makes me laugh how F&F was supposed to showcase Paul Walker, yet Vin pretty much stole the entire movie. The second and third ones were rubbish due to not having his presence (as well as a crap premise, crap script and crap acting, but still). Although I suppose they're hollywood teeny popcorn movies which require zero thought, so no plot and horrendous acting is the norm.

well lol hope its not £2.50 wasted mate!! but yea thats why i dont like them mate they seen to have more gears than a fooking lorry!!
Bit that always gets to me is the tuned evo topping out at 110 mph (i hope, although being american it should be reading kmh :tard:) then doing the same in reverse... no, and no.
(i hope, although being american it should be reading kmh :tard:)
Nope, Americans use MPH as well as us. And being Japanese it might still be limited to 112mph/180kph :p
Aren't all american speed signs in km/h though? :tard: I would have hoped one of his first steps in tuning it for street racing was to delimit it lol

i'll be watching it first thing friday morning thought the first one was awesome!!!! second.... poo! the third was kinda cool but hope this new en will top tham all:D

You'd think that. Mind you, there's plenty of jap imports over here which still have the limiters fitted.
Speed signs are in MPH over there. Otherwise their most common state speed limit of 55 would be about 30mph!

only thing that annoys me about the fast and the furious's they are constantly changing gear constantly goes woooooo tshhh wooooo tshhh woooo tshhh woooo tsshhhh woooooo tsssshhhhhh how many gears do theese guys have and whats also annoying is it will be in a race and there dragging then it will cut to a scene of there foot pushing down on the accelrator!!!! SHOULDNT IT ALREADY BE TO THE FLOOR?!?!
all the best racers only use 10% of the throttle travel.
most comical for gears is the film Driven with stalone in it
blue_peg_16v
08-04-09, 10:11 PM
the rs 200 is only in the film for about 10 seconds leaving the start line in a race and the exterior is standard so dont wory they havnt made an abbomination infact most of the cars are prity subtly bar the evo and there is some realy nice old school american muscle.

watched a making of thing bout this the other night and Vin said its the true Sequel to "The fast and the furious" and the only reason he came back is if he was in control of the franchise, he originally wanted 2F2F to carry on the story but Universal got too involved and **** happened...
Lets hope now he's in the producers seat he will do a good job as some of the reviews have said...
Must say the trailor did look a bit far fetched...

im off to see this tonight. im quite embarrassed though as im going with a few lads and we might blend in with all the chavs
even though the films have been REALLY far fetched, we all still watch them and theyre not too bad. if i was younger though id enjoy it so much more just because i wouldnt pick out all the faults with the cars and how unreal it all is.
im looking forward to it, its something to do and iv watched the other films quite a few times so cant see me not liking this. im also excited about at the end of the film when everybody jumps in there cars and attempt scenes from the film out of the car park. needless to say, i will NOT be going in my car
I'm off tonight and also not driving myself lol Didn't fancy the possible epic 'parking' dints or coming back to find the car gone :p
or vin diesel should have directed all of the films
Strays, the only real film Derv has directed, was crap. So no, he shouldn't have directed any of them.
Amusingly, Justin Lin directed both F&F4 and Tokyo Drift. Judging by his directing skills on the latter, I really hold out no hope for the former.
Anyway. Crank 2 comes out soon :D

Gonna go watch it as I have seen all the F&F at the cinemas so I dont wanna ruin the run lol.
1st one was the original in its own right, the 2nd one was good purley for Eva Mendes, other fit females and cars; just a no brainer of a film. 3rd one was good I liked the fact that a lot less CGI was used but the cowboy high school kid that looked 26 was silly lol.
The 4th one seems to be close to number 1. Its gonna be entertaining anyway even if its a simpleton of a film.
Some stuff in the films are so wrong its funny. Like in number 2 when Paul is in the Skyline gunning it in the first race, all those gear changes later it shows the speedo coming up to 100 on the clocks (but its only KMph) lol a skyline should be doing 100mph by then.
Oh well still entertaining.

11-04-09, 06:30 PM
Well just been to see it and it pretty good lol
On a par with the first due to actors and vin diesel has definatley made the film better. The acting is still cheesy chips but that's what the films all about "cheese".
Plenty of good car chases, explosions and sadly a bit too much story line imo made it a film rather than a total pee take.
4 out of 5 enjoy it :thumb:
Aye, watched this last night at a mates, TBH its not as bad as the previous ones though.

Martin and I saw this today. It was pretty pants tbh, Vin Diesel's muscle's were the best thing about it. None of them can act and fans of Michelle Rodreguiz (sp) will be very disappointed.
Like others have said, not enough racing and what there was of it was all samey e.g:
Woosh Woosh Woosh, Clutch, Gear Stick, Woosh Woosh Woosh, Look of stern determination, Woosh, Brake, Nearly Crash, Woosh, Clutch, Gear stick etc
And even I will say not nearly enough female nakedness although i guess it is a 12A
But if you like cars then see it???
Watched it 2nite, thought it was alrite!!!!
Long as you're expecting the usual fast and furious stuff it's alright i guess, wouldn't say it was better than the others though really, more of a storyline but less actian made it worse imo. Massive inaccuracies everywhere as usual, blowing a car up with NOS anyone? lol

They use 'stunt doubles' of the cars generally if that makes it any better, although i thought the scooby looked tosh anyway tbh, R34 with GT-R running gear would be tasty though :D

I was wondering
Whenever Dom shotguned a tyre the cars alway flew up and forward and blew up. Is that possible? Martin said something about downforce from the gun but it wouldnt go that high?
I was wondering
Whenever Dom shotguned a tyre the cars alway flew up and forward and blew up. Is that possible? Martin said something about downforce from the gun but it wouldnt go that high?
Guns dont have downforce. Theyre the wrong shape. If anything, they create a small amount of lift, and are a bit back heavy so they oversteer like a b*tch!
Basically, not a chance in hell lol
Longer explanaton:
If shotguns had that much force behind them anyone firing them would be killed instantly :p Likewise the tyre is only enough pressure to hold the car up, even the escaping air would be sprayed in all directions so it wouldn't force the car up. If you've ever seen the floating nova video, they use 6 fire hoses to make it levitate. That's the kind of force you'd need to fire one upwards.
Force from the shotgun is also going the wrong way, diagonally down, all it does is rip little shreds of tyre towards the ground.

i thought the film was awful IMO not enough racing in it to be called fast and furious, but prehaps i should wait untill im in a better mood to watch it again,
had to wait two hours to see it as all the showings were booked up, didnt get out of the cinema till 2 o clock in the morning and had to be up for work at half 6
wasnt in the best of moods
CoolTiger
14-04-09, 11:17 PM
Since it's spose to be before tokyo drift it explains how he's in that lol
why make it after it then lol
edit that still ended so stiill be continued
Because vin diesel refused to do another one until it had a proper script continuing the original storyline I believe
The second was a continuation of the first. Its only Tokyo Drift that was different and had a handful of lame tie ins to 1 (and 3).
Went to see it last night. Wow. What a complete load of monkey dongle. I'd rather watch a Quentin Tarrantino film than that crap. Exploding N2O? Driving cars in mineshafts? Need For Speed GPS? J-turn at ~50mph? ROFL
This was meant to be a comedy, right?
[edit] hang on a minute, just seen one of the fcukups which doesn't make sense on IMDB. if you haven't seen the movie, then don't read this lol the charger that hit the wall and exploded, why was Brian then driving it a few days later after the prison bus? There's no way he'd be able to build a replica in that short space of time, or rebuild the original car epic continuity fail lol
