1.2 project !!!!!!

I used to have a 1.2 carbed ST lump on the road 3 door red nova mk1, clean as, not a single bit of rust on it etc. got banned got bored and ended up banger racing it "i hear you all shoot me down in flames" but thats life and tbh i'm gutted, it was red - clean and had the SRI? 3 spoke alloys on it...


any way on to the subject in hand, i race rookie rods they are a non-contact oval formula mainly 1.2 nova's but now allowing fiesta's and corsa's etc which is a bit of fun when bored, on Saturday I went out in my mates 2lt corsa which was rapid, i then got a bit keen and having a spare shell sitting about which hadn't been sent of as scrapped yet we got abit keen and going to make it a project car... e.g turn into a 2lt nova!!!!!

it's been chaved up as it is as you can see from pictures, on a K plate it was running a 1.2 with twin 40's on it, with SRI? interier etc. body kit which i don't know what it is off, other then evo front bumper, DTM style wind mirrors? 25% tinted windows all round, smoothed boot lid, clifford alarm, with badboy? bonnet and bonnet pints all round.

open to ideas on what i should do to this.... i'm thinking strip just drop a 2lt lump in it and rag it round for the summer then as winter project strip it to shell , dipped painted and rebuilt.

Thats a mk2 dash standard, with gte interior. Ditch the kit...! Door cards look ok, other than the red and knee pads lol standard trim and it'll look good.

Good luck with the project! Nice to see people battling on with they're own projects :)

thanks mate, i know **** all about what comes with what on a nova. All I know is i hate it!!!!!

are them seats etc standard gte then? whats the diferent between the GTE / GSI - i'm tempted to a full strip and bucket seats. not to sure yet.

I guess the GTE bumpers are the wide one's? with the grill etc?

i think i got some standard 15 cav rims to go on it for now.. need a bit of wleding as you can see!!!!

yeh they are GTE seats ya can tell as they are small buckets to them

difference between gte and gsi is the gsi is for a mk2, black interior as opposed to grey

so has he tried to make a gte? e.g mk2 shell with mk1 seats etc but mk2 dash?

it's in the van along with the coloum... stop people nicking it lol!!!! nar we needed to use it on a banger so went on there, got it back now just need to bolt on and put rack back in
