I'm Adam.
23
and drive a 16 year old Cavalier 1.8

I'm also know as Adamw5433 on CavalierCrazy, where i'm the North East Promotor.

(i don't know who i need to contact so i'll post it here)
CavalierCrazy is having a multiclub meet in Scarbrough (North Bay) on Sunday the 26th April.
Anyone with a vauxhall is welcome.

There'll be a convoy from Teesside park (Time: TBC) to Scarbrough, unless you want to make you own way to the North Bay.

Next meet after Scarbrough is looking like Flamingo Land (a full day out joby)
Then PVS
Some time after PVS we might be doing a joint club / Joint region meet in Derby... Well Alton Towers.

Just have to see how things pan out.

Just been told a few lads from various sites,might just turn up out of the blue if they can escape family life for a few hours.


The planned Route (incase the convoy gets slit up)
Tesside park >
A66 joining A19 South >
Turn off for A171 heading East, Following the A171 until we Enter Burniston >
Turn left off the A171 onto the A165 Coastal Road >
Follow the A165, which becomes the A165 Burniston Road >
Reach Peasholm Park, Round-a-Bout, Take 1st exit onto Peasholm Gap >
Follow the road becoming Royal Albert Drive >
The parking area is a few hundred meters on your right hand side.


If there isn't enough parking spaces we will try Scalby Mills Road and park up at the 'Old Scalby Mills'

Well the 26th saw the MultiClub meet return to the North East for another month.
Myself and AndyVectra set off from Tesside Park around 11:35.
We joined the A19 making good progress, until it was time to join the A171.
When my Cavalier started to make a knocking sound coming from the engine bay, we pulled into a pub car park to investigate.
Checked the oil level and coolant, nothing out of the ordinary...
So we carried on.

We joined the A171 for Scarbrough, it was good going until we got onto the moors when we got bunched up behind a Volvo (FOR F**K SAKES!)
The driver didn't have a clue what the road were like.
Following the Volvo with no decent over taking spots we were averaging around 40mph (on a 60 road),
then suddenly the Volvo driver decided that EVERY corner must be taken at 20 - 25.
(More Swearing in my car)

We continued behind the Volvo, going through Scaling i was hoping he'd pull
off.
Or atleast let the now 14 car long queue pass, no such luck.
We finally lost the Volvo, somewhere in Whitby.
We made our way through the outskirts of Whitby in relatively good time, we made our way over the Helredale Road bridge.


Having a quick look either side noticing the tide was out, i was very tempted at this point to de-tour into Whitby.
An take a stroll down the bay front, lovely fish and chips there. However being pushed for time, i decided not to.
Plus Andy had passengers that may not have taken kindly to this detour.
We drove onward to Scarbrough remaining on the A171, we past the tiny village of Stainsacre (now being encrouched by Whitby).


After this point the driving expirance really livens up (for a manual driven car anyways).
Soft rolling hills are replaced by steep hills that seem to jump up and down, climbing the hills we find our selves going down the gears for more torque.
Reaching the crest and speeding up, ready to go for a gear change.
Only to be met by another steep hill.
Having had fun on the hilly section the road opens up a little and we can start cruising at 60 - 65.


We soon pass by Fylingdales (we never actually pass through it, or see it) Scarbrough is just minutes away.
We enter Burniston around 13:04, still on the A171.
We pass a few houses and shop until we find our turn off onto the A165, i make my turn and look in the rear view mirror.... I've lost Andy!

I pull over onto the curb and wait for Andy to catch up, he'd obviously been caught be some traffic.
The bat mobile.... i mean Andy comes round the corner and i pull away heading into scarbrough.
We're only on the A165 for a few mins until we reach Scarbrough and make a left turn onto the North bay area.
We find a decent parking space and wait for a minute or two, with the beach on our far side.

I just sit on the grass verge when i get a phone call, telling us we'd been beaten to the spot by the other party of lads from the various clubs.
They were further down the road in a much better place to park a bunch of car close together.
So me and Andy make our way down to the spot where the other lads are parked up.
We pull into the parking spots and get chatting and taking the odd pic here and there.

Only four cars at first, but we soon got 7 or 8.
Once more cars turned up we moved once again, as it was getting crowded with bikers and the hot hatch lot.
We moved for the final time and got taking more pics.
Having a chat about the cars and some of the plans we had.

Andy then decided to throw a stone at my foot :rolleyes: lol
I had a sarcastic go at Andy for this, knowing well that it was'nt Andy but one of the kids.
But i'm not about to start having a go at a 7 yr old kid....
Plus it looked like it was Andy out the corner of my eye lol.

All in all it was a good day out, more cars turning up would have brilliant.
Next months meet is looking like Flamingo Land, if it doesn't interfere with PVs.
