major help needed

electrics seem to be all over in my nova

when i indicate left or right both sides flash like hazrads. i have tried a different hazard switch and still the same and all bulbs are working correctly any body any ideas ?

also when i press the brake i have no brake light but the headlights comes on while brake pressed.

it sounds like an earth problem. but my money is on a short on the rear wiring harness near the rear lights

i had the same problem, turned out to be an earth in the boot near to the boot catch, it had only come a little loose but caused the same symptons you describe.
