View Full Version : New addition to the fleet
Here is my new motor, its a 1984 Nova L with 75k. It is lowered on coilovers and has Manta GTE wheels.
Since i got it on Friday i have changed the front bumper and the carpet, nicked them both off/out of my hatch!
Not got many plans but want to tidy the paint up because its a bit faded and then possibly change the engine at some point although the 1.2 runs sweet enough and i have my hatch to go fast in lol

looks good slammed on the manta rims.
Have you still got the matt black hatch?
Yup still got the hatch, its currently a bare shell in the garage getting rubbed down and ready for welding.
Found some old MOT certs for it, says it has done 7000 miles in the last 4 years and between the current and last test it did 200!
I will probably do the belt at some point and give the engine a service although it did have alot of new parts before i bought it.

looks nice,
just wait til the anti saloon squad see this... bout time i saw more 4 door saloons on here...
May be hard to beleve but i was actually looking for a 4 door saloon since i saw my mates MK2 the other weekend. Was only by chance i found out about this one and it was a very good price considering so it had to be purchased lol
I was never a big fan of saloons until i saw that MK2 and i totally changed my mind on them.

you say it was a mk2 that changed your mind?

how much she lowered by btw?
Couldnt tell you, its on adjustable coilovers at the front and it does have lowering springs on the rear but not sure the drop.
It wasnt the fact it was a MK2 that i liked it, just that it was a 4 door saloon and i thought it looked quite good. Wouldnt want to change it to a MK2 because i like the look of the MK1 and i dont think it looks right having a C plate on a MK2.
