My Nokia 6600's keypad decided to stop working so I cant do anything, I have a replacement phone (basic Nokia 1600) but all my contacts are saved to my 6600's Memory. I cant get them from there as my Key pads broken. Anyone got any advice?

Also, I have a Nokia 6630 but its SIM Locked to O2 UK. Is there just a code to be entered to it to unlock it or is there more to it, ie is it going to be a specialised job?

Unlocking...you might get something on eBay. Buy a code and job jobbed.

With regards to your contacts, got a data cable that you can connect to your PC and read the phone details?

The problem is the phone is like 6 years old, will I still be able to get a Data Cable?

Yeh i'd say 99% that you'll be able to get a data cable, i would even say that it should have came with one when you bought it, is it a slide phone ? if so it may be worth taking apart to see if theres any loose connections etc..

Alot of Nokia data cables are the same. Have a scan on eBay.

Tried dismanteling it and there does look to be a component damaged so Data cable it is.

a data cable is the way to get your contacts, and from now on, save to sim card!! And with respect to the unlocking, do it your self, search for 6630 unlock on google, you will just have to enter your imei code into a website! I think typing *#0000# brings it up!

I have a 6630. They cant really be unlocked with a code because Nokia made some special coding to stop people using codes to unlock incase they were nicked.

IIRC though, if you ring 02 they might be able to unlock it for you. Very likely charge ya for it though.

*#06# - brings up imei code
*#0000# - brings up phone software version info, when it was made (some models only) and product code i.e RM 150
*#92702689# - (numbers spell 'WARRANTY') brings up the 'Life Timer' i.e how much chin wagging you've been doing on your phone in hours:mins

You should still be able to get the cable although it will be very different to the mini usb found in more recent Nokia's and the PopPort found in Nokia's from a few years back. IIRC it predates those cable types. You'll find it though no doubt about that.
