right just offered up my new clutch, just wondered do you havt to use a clutch alighment tool to centralise the disk? it on an f16 box . thanx:thumb:

i dont think so, are you working with it on the car with the access plate.

if it was me i would wiggle it up and down and get someone to push the shaft through it. making it centralised.

no got the box off . will just push the shaft through when i put the box on it should centralise it. cheers.

If it has a acess plate leave the bolts undone slighty. Then when you put the box on put the input shaft in and then do up the bolts.

if yours dosnt have a acess plate then your need to get it aligned right. Otherwise when you come to fit the box it wont go on right due to the input shaft/clutch.

if the box is off you might aswell align it before you put the box back in

also if you keep the shaft back the box will be easier to fit and you can just slide the shaft in

Just align it by eye and do the bolts up slightly. Try sliding the box on. If it goes on ok, slide it back off carefully and tighten the bolts.
