just working on car......major cock up!!!!

when installing my mk3 astra gsi internal fuel pump into my spi tank, noticed my non-return ball had popped out of its holder.

having fished it out, it has now been accidentally troden on and crushed by my clumsy 21st mate!!! :tard:

does anyone know where i can get one???

or an alternative i can use???

its the ball on the fuel inlet to the tank, on the inside.

yeah thats the kneck, its not there for that, its to stop pikeys syphoning ya fuel, its the anti-siphon valve, mine never had it, and it made no difference. it wont piss out, ive filled mine to the brim and had no leaks.

Fuel will piss back up the filler neck when you turn left, without the ball fitted.
And it WILL piss down over your rear 1/4 if the seal on the fuel cap isnt the best.....

Will it? But its lose to move about, or all the ones i've seen are.

Yes but when fuel flows towards the filler neck it forces the ball tight against the edge of that cage thing. hence it then stops the fuel flowing out....

Oh right, i thought it was lose enough to just be moved aside by the fuel.

Might hae to get a fix one to mix as it doesnt have it..

When i removed my tank, i couldn't drain it with that ball/cage fitted, it would just dribble out and then stop.
So it definently does stop fuel coming back up the neck
