I once saw a diy Countach replica at a kit car show. it had been made out of jag bits.... a jag v12, a jag gearbox, a jag back axle, a jag front axle.
it was mid engined but the wheelbase was about 15' due to the length of the drivetrain, and it was made from 2" box section, and was about 50% bigger than it should have been. and they hadn't got round to skinning the body. they had put a price on it....I wish I still had the photo

Im all for folk having a go at doing this sort of thing but if you cant even fit brake pipes on properly you probably shouldnt be doing an awful lot to a car never mind building one.

Surely common sense would tell him that when you take a car to a test that checks whether it is safe for the road that leaking brake pipes isnt going to be the best preperation!
