I lost a fiver too today. Unlike you mine hasn't resurfaced :(. It couldn't have been the one that's in my pocket and nearly torn in half though could it.

How many actually believe you tho?

most tourists up there will be septics looking for the MacSchwartz tartan for their golf attire, so i'd guess a good 95%

lol mowgli - the one liner genius!

I remember when I was a kid sticking a fiver back together with selotape that'd been washed at a laundrette when I was on me hols camping (it was a rainy day) - managed to get it all back except one part of the serial number. The wifey who owned the shoip was so impressed with my patience she gave me a new 50p for my trouble!

I was more impressed with a new shiney 50p than a tatty bit of paper!

lol
