tecnically what are the benefits of having a 4branch fitted to my 1.4 sr
also are there any disadvantages of having one on the car/engine?

A 4 branch means the exhaust can flow quicker, meaning less back pressure and a free-er reving engine. It also means the higher end bhp gains can be unlocked, add a ported head, large valves, lairy cam, a larger inlet and carb, then you can get a much better flow through the head.
The downside is that you might loose some torque low down and have to rev it to get anywhere, which could be a problem with a mahoosive exhaust or on a strict track with noise regs.
But generally speaki the good out way the bad!

When I Fitted A 4 Branch To My 1.4 Sr I Didnt Notice A Loss Of Power Down The Rev Range At All!! All I Noticed Is That It Went Through The Rev Range Much Easier
