12NZ is the SPi engine, (the z=SPI) Carbs are T code...... 12ST is a valid code and imo then i belive that its the 12ST code
its wat came up on auto data in college, was a bit confused my self! cheers for all the help :thumb: 12ST it is then!!
to confirm it, if you look on the engine block to the gearbox side of the exhaust manifold, there is a flat bit with the engine number on it. unless someone has been playing around, it will be a 12ST.
would have done mowgli, but i was in college! :thumb:

there were 1200 carbs (back in the day that is!) but the NV is a confusing one! v=??
what i know about the codes are that (on intake that is!)
V= Carbed
Z= SPi
E= MPi
D=Diesel
Question, what does the T in the 12ST code mean then??????? I know of ST engines, however according to topbuzz there is no such thing as the T, i thought i was Carb'd but its not as above its V
