hi.

I've got a Tran-x in my f20 now but I dont know what oil to get. Dont want to splash 50squids out on millers, is there a cheaper alternative?

Millers grade, LS 80w-90

if its a plate type slipper (which tran x are) you need to buy limited slip diff oil if it were a atb (quaife) you could use normal gear oil .spending 600 to 700 pounds on a diff you may as well spend another £50 on some decent oil mate .

why not buy non lsd oil then put in an additive?

Quality is an overused word when it comes to oil. mostly it is down to snobbery. millers are a tiny firm from shrewsbury, and they will buy in a lot of stuff wholesale & stick it in their own cans.

plenty of lorries tractors and plant use lsd's & give them far more work then a small hatchback would do.

our jcbs have limited slip diffs & the diffs get some serious abuse on construction work. I have used jcb oils in all sorts of vehicles with no problems, but how many other people would use jcb oil????
