iv asked this a few times in the past with no luck but iv made a start at 'stickering' my car up and i want a few opinions and ideas of what else i should do?

i still dont know if i want the body sticker free, or just a few sublte ones or go all out. iv got some tow stickers coming anytime now but other than that im not sure what else to do. im also thinking of getting a fibreglass bonnet on it and keeping it unpainted but i doubt il do that, or even spraying the odd panel white, ie. the skirts.

what would you do? photoshop away :thumb:

and also, before anybody says it looks sh1t its only cost me a few quid so far and it can easily be taken off. im not even sure at the moment if il like it or not

take the ibiza plitter off for starters - doesnt look too bad on the sticker front - try to stay away from the halfrauds shopping list stickers, only stick on whats on the car too

Agreed, looks a beast from the front, keep the bumper sticker free, maybe 1 on the bonnet?

A big chupa chup sticker lol

Took the words right outta my mouth dude. Bin the splitter and mirrors and honestly man, change your wheels! I'm sur eyou've guessed that I'n not a fan by now but that aside they are completely wrong for the look you're after.

As for stickers again I wouldn't bother doing too much as the car is black it won't look as striking as you want IMO.

the splitter is staying sorry. the car was way too high at the front for my liking and to save me rolling my arches and buying coilovers it was a much cheaper way. and imo, i like it anyway.

the mirrors are also staying. theyre not dtm if you were thinking that and seen as you never see them around anymore its something different and also, imo i like them.

the wheels i agree with. but until some comps come up for sale cheap then theyre staying. iv had them for years now and they do me fine lol

and Lol @ chupa chup sticker. im not wanting any brands on i dont think, and definetly not going to halfords for a shopping list. kind of want it a plain theme. but im really unsure whats going to look good and whats going to be tacky.

the white squares on your doors are too small if it were a race car the white squares would have to be much bigger to the extent where they nearly cover 3/4's of length of the door (depending on what formula your doing)to make it look more like a track/race car take a look at some touring cars for ideas may help.

thanks for that, i didnt know. and theyre only that size because it was some scrap vinyl a local sign maker had so he gave it me for free lol

im just messing with ideas at the moment. once the car is actually out on the roads il get everything done perfect.

Splitter :( That's one of the worst crimes IMO, using a big splitter to make the car look lower. It matters not when the chassis aint on the deck (IMO)

When I think of cars like that I am reminded of Calibras with the 4ft tall bumpers like Jimmy Hills chin lol

If you're gonna rock the door stickers BTCC stylee roll it back to the 90's and get some Autotrader ones, headlights too lol (I'm building an STR rep Nissan but no stickers I don't think)

IMO no matter how cool a car looks wearing stickers it is going to look 10 times better without them in 90% of cases.

Think how cool works cars look pre livery. That's the look I want and I reckon your Nova looks better plain too, if you want it to stand out how about Dealer Sport inspired stripes?

L33 LEG

i agree its a crime getting a bigger bumper just to make your car lower but iv always liked novas with cupra splitters, and you dont see it often nowadays.

and i will also agree with my car will look better plain. il pretty much guarantee that the day before the car gets taxed itl be stickerless lol

what do the dealersport stripes look like? i remember years ago i photoshopped this car with yellow and grey stripes going down the rear quarter diagonally into the rear arch and it looked fair decent, but wouldnt work against the red now.

Fair enough if you like the splitter mate lol
Can't find any pics of the Dealer Sport livery on a car but I was thinking as you said, diagonal stripes down the quarter. Why won't it work now? Just change the colours, red and white or something lol

i wish i had photoshop as id try it. may have a go with paint later lol

im going out now so if anybody is bored and wants to chav my car up with stickers on photoshop feel free.

this might be an easier pic to work with, the skirts are now black aswell and as of from tonight itl have a gsi vinyl on the boot

thanks for the shops. not keen on the number 6 one, but somesort of red stripe wouldnt be too bad, but iv no idea what. the other could look ok if there was a lot more stickers, and maybe if the car was white Lol. seems to be a bit too much and stands out too much for my liking though

The car looks cool in the first pics! I really like the colour contrast! :)

Splitter doesn't look :gay: either. Guessing you struggle on most public roads though!?

i think the second one is best imo, most wont agree with me but i think it would look quite good, and suit the track slag theme well if the side skirts were red like the wheels, but again thats just my opinion!! :)

chimp - i havnt driven yet so no idea if itl catch but my beemers are ever lower than that so im used to it Lol. hopefully it wont be too bad cos im planning on thrashing this car about to be honest lol

thanks again for the advise. im not spraying the skirts red, itl be too much i think. if they were to go a different colour id probably go for white but i like them black at the moment.

the chupa chup thing would be really cool, but to pull it off id have to have a 500bhp engine or something silly in it ha

Personally there is nothing worse than a car with a few small spaced out stickers, you either need to go for it big time or a few large stickers that overlap the panel edges could work, like a mahoosive chupa-chup's one on at 45 deg on the bonnet or roof, then some lolly's running from the back passenger windows to the front wheel?
No photoshop at work, or i would attempt it. Lol.

what is it with everybody wanting me to put massive chuppa chup stickers on it lol

and ye ernie, id love it to have the same style as that. the only problem i have though is my paintwork is pretty decent and i wouldnt want to hide it with white panels on. and cheers for that throttle, came yesterday and its on my car now with no problems :)

lol @ the castrol one and the setting, even though it is kinda cool.

cheers for them andrew, i think they could work. out of them all though im liking the last one. the extra pinstripe looks nice.

i might install my photoshop and do some proper designs from all angles to see if itl work. what sponsors/stickers would people recommend? or what '90s' sponsor/theme would look good?

thought id bump this thread. i fitted my passenger square wrong and i took it off only to find that its peeled some of the paint off lol so basically, the white squares are definetly going on the car.

im taking the car to my local sign maker to fit everything perfect. the squares will be bigger. iv also fitted a gsi boot with the vinyl and tow stickers on each bumper. so the front and rear are perfect for how i want it to look. not sure if i need something else on the side view though, and unsure if i should put some sponsors on it.

done a VERY quick shop using paint, think the stripes might be a bit too much. what can i put on which will be subtle enough to work. i drove the car as it is for the first time the other day and i LOVE the way it looks though so dont want to spoil it that much.

http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i184/L33LEG/photoshops/novaps01.jpg

anymore opinions on what i can do? i might just leave it with the white squares on though and nothing else
