Well after todays weather there was no excuse not to get some work done on the nova.misses asked me what we where doing today and i told her i had a date with my other misses. told her to pop along a do her shoping and give me all day to play with my toy :P

Todays Playtime included

Paint Calipers and drums
Underseld Under car
Glossed both arches
put new plastics and rear carpet in boot

Looking good mate.

But PLEASE put axle stands underneath when you are working at the car, or even a few wheels, I can't stress this enough as my mate's cousin was killed a few months ago because a car fell on top of him and trapped him. Especially those little narrow jacks can cope over.

yea sorry forgot to say i was not under the car undersealing it i just put the jack under the axel to paint the drums (not that stupid) lol

Next plans in the next 2 weeks

Gsi Bumper (picking up tue)
new fuel cap
Gsi side skirts (picking up tue)
Fit Rear 60mm springs

Then of to the paint shop in 2 weeks time :)

Does anyone have a gsi stearing wheel ???

Looking goood!, +1 leebo, i know someone who didnt use axel stands, and it fell on him, was a ford granada, so slightly heavier than a nova,

but yes, safety first people!

nice work mate.
I had axel stand under a nova gsi that i was breaking.
The sill collapsed and the stand went into the sill.
I endded up with the rear beam resting on me not nice but lucky to be a skinny runt so was able to grab the trolly jack and get the car off me as i was working on my own.
Not nice and panic sets in very quick.
