Ignition leads help??

Have just had a new engine. 1.6 gsi. I need to know which order the ht leads fit into the dizzy. is there any pictures or diagrams avalable?

take the cap off, rotate engine to TDC on cylinder 1 (so its at the top) wherever the rotor arm is, take that as number 1 plug. look at the dizzy cap and working anti-clockwise, the firing order is 1-3-4-2 iirc, so say top right is 1, top left would be 3, bottom left 4 and bottom right 2.

i've probably confused you to buggery now, and probably got something wrong (been a while since worked on a nova engine!)

if you look at the dizzy cap the leads go 3 1
then: 4 2

as you look at the cap from the passenger side of the car...
(cylinder 1 is cambelt end of engine)
