Search ebay for mintex cavalier sri gsi. theres a seller that sells brand new mintex discs/pads for £40 and there twice as effective but half as much as the ebc discs/ greenstuff pads my 2.0 is running! lol lol

not a question about the pads, but anyways,

outta 10, how much more powerful are the 256mm setups?

im thinking of going c20let or xe in a year or two, so brakes are something i need to think about...

cheers

steve, you have pm

With the right setup 16v brakes will be fine for an xe or a turbo conversion. Most of the trackboys run 16v brakes when their engine are pushing out loads more power than they did out of the factory.

Compared to std 1.2 brakes its another world, you don't have to plan a mile ahead when you want to stop you just hit the pedal and you'll stop miles before you need to. :thumb:

remember, the key to good nova braking is to get the rear drums, shoes & adjusters working right..

I went for new brakes all round when i fitted mine as i killed the padgid pads on its first track day.
It was Lees old set up and they worked fine i just killed them lol.

ive found ferodo pads sold by onlineautsport in their total vauxhall ad are amazing for 15 notes. my mate uses em on track and cant fade em even from 150mph... i use std disks aswell £23 from my motor factors
