Nova Sport

I'd put my Nova GSi up for sale and sold it because I thought I had too many cars. Then I got to hear about this during the week, and had to go see it, and ended up buying it!!!
It had been restored and then just parked up - ended up sitting with no one near it for almost 10 years.

Yeah will be putting on the red back box again, and have the proper mirror and blanking plate to go on too. Not too sure what to do with it though, the newer type mirrors look better I think.

Also need 2 new front shocks too, they were brand new, but sitting about has done them no good - they burst on the first drive down the road today!

It's in good condition, it has been totally painted including the underneath and the arches. Mostly been covered in brown waxoyl though so thinking of cleaning it off, and spraying it with the clear stuff for a better look!

Graphics have been replaced obviously since it's been painted, but they are all one piece so could be genuine? I don't know an awful lot about them so feel free to correct me!lol

Can't see the decals not being genuine, when the car was painted no one probably reproduced them.

Ahhh, so thats what this guy who lives over the road had, just looked it up on google, as i know what the sunbeams were like but not the samba's, he used to have a old b-c plate one in light cream/off white think it rotted into the ground though?

If I was driving it everyday I'd have no problems taking it out in the wet. The car sits in 99% of the time, and once it's driven in the rain water gets everywhere and will just lie in the car as it sits.

If I have it out and a shower of rain comes on, then there isn't much I can do about it, but I never intentionally take them out in it!

Well had it out at a few shows now - the amount of attention it gets compared to my old GSi is unreal!! Even managed a few prizes with it (including one for best non RS at a Ford show!!!)

It has, but not intentionally - having a few problems getting the engine built, so threw the head up and left it with someone who isn't busting a gut to do anything with it.:(

Once I get the engine back, it's just a matter of fitting it and it's ready to rock and roll!!

I feel for you pall had about as much luck with mine, thinking about selling it now my pump packed in after a rebuild last year and now my second engine leaks oil like a siv after rebuild and not being funny but ive never had problems like ive had with this car so gutted is an understatment :( :mad: :cry:
