I insured mine through hic - declared all mods, power etc, alarm, tracker, 3k a year, insured value, 34 (old fooker lol ) full ncb and mine is just under £600 fully comp - NN15 post code. Must be my old age lol rang round loads of places and they were the cheapest by a few hundred quid :thumb:

It really dose help being over 25 though, my XE'TB'd went from £850 to £650 after i was 25, and when it was last insured i was 27 and it was £498

Im guessing next time i insure it it will be about £350 lol

Not so much anymore, i have a friend thats 30 he has no ncb and owns a turbo mk2 astra. It costs is £1000 to insure it.

If you get insured at 17/18 and build up your ncb as soon as you have over 4/5 years the price comes right down.

My price from 24 to 25 was about 100 difference.

It also depends what you declare to the insurance company, i've declared everything on mine :D If it was running standard power 200ish or anything up to 250bhp it was one price, then it keeps going up and up........iirc my premium went up about £80 per 20% bhp increase over calibra factory power.

As also stated it also depends if the car has a roll cage or not, etc.....

Thanks for that.. I am still investigating why you were turned down as you exactly the sort of customer we like to insure! Nice talking to you and give me a shout if you need any further assistance.

Basically I read the details which the OP posted and then read a bit further and saw we had said 'no quote'. I PM'd the OP, got his details, phoned him and quoted him. As it stands I have no idea why we said no in the first place and I dont mind mind saying that I was totally pissed off that we had said no when he called originally. Anyway, all sorted now :thumb:

I was only joking, but glad you sorted it out.

I'm still a bit miffed though why i MUST fit an alarm/immobilizer to mine to get it insured with your company?

It could be down to your postcode, for some postcodes we ask for extra security. If you PM me your full name and postcode I can have a look for you?

Thanks
