Whats the capacity of a header tank?

Does anybody know how many litres a standard nova header tank holds?

if its JUST the header tank i say to the line 1.5 and to the top 2ltrs

I was going to say i will go out to the garage and fill the header tank up i have lying around and measure what comes out of it for you but if you cba to look in the haynes manuel then your on your own lol

It will give you capacities (engine oil, gearbox oil, etc). Should be able to get a figure.

Basically im looking into buying a replacment header tank, but not nescicarily one designed for a nova.

pete, i checked, dosnt give one for the header tank. Only for the whole cooling system (6.5 liters IIRC)

I gave the answer to the question but for Burgo yes that is completely full (the capacity) i sure he would have asked how much it held to the line if he wanted to know that lol lol ;)
