No I do not have a caravan lol

I'm thinking of getting a jet ski for the summer. Can you tow on your regular liscence? Or do you need to pass any additional tests?

Cheers
Ant

i was thinkin in the summer how cool jet skis looked. Plus my new car has a tow bar already fitted, and It would be handy for taking my old car to the scrappy after ive finished breaking it :D

As far as I know, you'll be ok, I think there is some limit to the amount of wheels it can have????????????

the law states(simplyifyed)
that the car towing must be a larger car, than the car being towed.
so a land rover could tow a nova, but i nova cannot legaly tow a land rover,
and yeh normal lience, but i would advise you get some pratice in a car park or something,as ive seen my trailer manya time by my drives door on a round about

Im unable to tow anything behind my van, even under 3500 kgs overall, im sure youve gota b 21 or over to tow!
Its a bit of a grey area, specially wit weights n things!

Motor vehicles with a MAM not exceeding 3500kg having not more than 8 passenger seats with a trailer up to 750kg. Combinations of towing vehicles in category B and a trailer, where the MAM of the combination does not exceed 3500kg and the MAM of the trailer does not exceed the unladen mass of the towing vehicle.

That was taken from the DVLA, you can do all that lot when your 17

http://www.dvla.gov.uk/drivers/vehicle_cat_desc.htm

I'm 99% sure as long as the combined weight is below 3500kgs yes, take a look for yourself incase I've mis-understood.

maximum 750kgs trailer or 3500mam which ever u reach first, you have to be 18 to take the test to drive over 3500mam upto 7500mam..... weight limits are advisable :D merc g wagon can tow up to 3.5t well over 100% of it's weight

there is an age break to drive heavier stuff cause i can drive up to 7500mam combined i think the law changed in 1998??

Jetskis dont weigh much do they? On their little trailers about 150- 250kg max all up- not much more surely?
Should be a doddle
