for the inevetable high cost of getting hold of a corsa 1liter engine you may aswell a) rebulid your current engine b)fit a decent condition 1.2 (possibly rebuild that)

but they are my opinions lol

It will fit straight in on your engine mounts, but the wiring might be more difficult depending on age. It might have an immobilizer or dispac. It would only cost around ?300 for a rebuild of your current engine. This way you would know its history and would be brand new effectively. There would also be no doubt about insurance or documentation. The rebuild would include a cylinder bore to an extra 50cc and increase the compression slightly. Add on a new camshaft as this will more than like be shafted and you should have a new spritely engine.

the engine is a bit knackered.

Whats exactly Wrong with it? Does it simply need a service? Filters Change, Oil Change, Plugs, Leads, Timing and Carb?

Even if it's more serious than that, it's worth keeping it Standard!

You haven't put your location in your profile, I have a 1.0 engine that has done 7800miles from a g reg, owned by an old lady. if you can find hinckley, it's yours
