^ thats almost the same as my dad's old one (his was an 1850HL though and had different wheels), same year too. A TR6 would be nice but a bit pricey for a rebuilt UK one.

6.2 V8 = love wee
I'm not sure yet, being under 25 I have to avoid imports because the insurance is ridiculous, engine would generally have to be 2.0 or under, and I wouldn't want to go any slower than a 1.6 nova, and I'm picky... but practical/comfortable/anything with 5 doors is out, because I just find it boring lol Which cuts down my options a fair bit, oh also a student without a summer job, looks like it's novas for me for a year or 2 yet :p
In an ideal world where insurance was cheaper than a bag of chips, an R33 or a nice Honda for <£2500 would probably be my next port of call
and RJ, I didn't think they sold the eclipse in the UK? So how is there a 'UK spec' car?

I would love one of these  with an updated engine though not the original :D
http://i345.photobucket.com/albums/p379/SOUTHIE01/grey-camper.jpg
If only I didn't spend all my hard earned cash on a Nova (s) then I could have got one by now. lol

Eclipse?! ECLIPSE!??! How dare thee!
Its a GTO! Has the '99 spec front bumper, which wasn't available in the UK (but there's a plethora of US suppliers, so that plus Dodge Stealth headlamps FTW) lol
ahh yeah I see that now, front end looks very eclipse-like. I take it that's not a standard bumper? lol I've also checked out the GTO's/3000GT's during my "what if i had money" ebay sessions, some decently priced ones out there. According to gran turismo 1 you can tune the nuts off them too! lol

Because poverty spec models are crap. I don't understand it tbh, if you're restoring an old car, why go for the sh!t version?

Epic win! lol
Aside from the GT4 replacement being a GTO, I think if the Nova went I would have to replace it with a big old Vaux/Opel estate - Omega, Carlton, Senator.
Burgo stole my 1st choice - although I'd go for the one the stig tested on topgear!

do you not like money then??? the new robin hood zero also weighs 500kgs but is only 2k in kit form. fair enough that doesnt include the engine or owt but still a much cheaper way of doing it than paying the caterham tax
I would like to add this year I will be buying:
.Cav 4x4 Turbo
.Carlton GSi
.An early Corsa GT/Nova SR
.The afore mentioned BMW.
And undoubtedly various other Cavs etc.

Adam, that thing is magnificant. I had a Caspian blue 83 XR3 (carb) and I loved it, even moreso than any RST I owned.
It had 16" Gold 6 Spoke Tenko wheels, RST Brakes and suspension, Cossie front brakes and rear discs, S2 Recaros and an S2 RST LSD Box. Its not a G3 Rallycar which is nice.
