ive got this slight grumble from the front end whilst idling in neutral.
it goes away when the clutch pedal is pressed to the floor.
could it be the release bearing ? or something more serious inside the box, i hope not.

my cavy does it aswell but cba to take the box off to change it lol

Release bearing is the most likely suspect, at worst it could be the input shaft bearing.

as said release bearing and you can do it with the box still in the car just a bit of an **** of a job.

Jimbob's is a 1.2 4speed, should have the cover plate. Can be done very easly. With or without the clutch in place.

you will need to drop the clutch down as there will not be enough room in there imho.
Your only left with this amount of room when the clutch is out and the gearbox is unbolted from it.
