electronic ignision

:mad: looking at wiring in a rev counter and change light for racing but all the intrustutions are for the standard coil in have an engine from a astra f 1.6 si
with electronic ignision can anyone get some guideness?:confused: on the wiring PLEASE!:cry:

You need to tap the rev counter signal from the ECU. Should be a green wire coming out of that somewhere... I don't have a haynes for the Astra so can't check that to find the pin number though.

remove the drivers side kick panel ( behind bonnet catch )

you will see the ECU mounted behind.

then locate the 9pin plug (some will have 2 or 3 separate plugs) this will be connecting the ecu to the dash/interior wiring loom.

find the solid green wire (almost Kawasaki green lol) this is the rev counter wire. this is the wire you need to wire to a rev counter and or shift light..
