View Full Version : How do you cheek/Know which gearbox is which

i need a new gearbox and just want to know if theres like a code or some way that u can tell which one it is i need a f13 is that on it some where anyone know...:thumb::thumb:

Yes it will say e.g. f13.

in huge letters on the casing.. you must poke abour to find the cr/wr stamp & the diff ratio

by gear selector.

CR/WR is stamped at the end of the box. On a little tab bit.

Not always got the big stamp on, check on end of the casing nearest the inner wing, will need some degreaser to read it properly, but tbh depending on engine your running you will be able to use about 5 different gearboxes.

Here we go again,

First place to look, F-number on top of the diff housing, just under the gear selector linkage,

Second place to look, ratio and final-drive codes end of the gearbox near the earth strap,
