Another rear disc question but couldnt find anything from previous to use.
A follow nova lover has fitted a rear disc setup from a mk5 astra which is basically the same as a mk4 setup im sure and is now having problems with handbrake cables as the astra cables were no good!
Is there any way of doing this using other cables from a Corsa C etc. or hes also asking if he can get cables made up from somewhere if there is anywhere that would do this?

Any help or info would be great :thumb:

why not try & fit the mk5 cables & handbrake as a set???
the astra isn't physically that much bigger

what about making a setup like the Vx220 has
http://www.speedsterclub.nl/bibliotheek/technische%20documentatie/epc/J%20Brakes/10%20Handbrake%20cable/image.png

ie a cable between the drums, then a "yoke" in the middle that is pulled by the handbrake lever (can be a rod if you want)

Must get my mill/lathe sorted, could do with making a similiar setup for the Novargh at some point...

RC did something similar with his mk3 astra setup. He just welded the astra cable guides onto the beam and chassis and made his own yoke.
