I currently have a nova 1.2 merit and i want some extra power from it without spending alot as i plan 2 sell it in a about 8months. A friend of mine installed a twin coke carb off a mk1 cavalier onto his nova sr and it made a MASSIVE IMPROVEMENT, i mean his car keeps up with nova gsi's and im curious to know if this is possible for my nova 1.2. please could anyone give me some advise on this.

cheers!

no harm in trying, is there? you might have to try a bit of mix and matching to find the right inlet manifold though. but i seriously doubt you'll be able to keep up with your mate in a 1.2.

well the cav uses the same pierburg 2E3 as the nova SR cept it will have different jets

if u look at the 1.2 8v tuning guide you'll see if u pu the SR exhaust system, cam shaft and carb (making sure u use a SR 1.3 inlet) u will get a nice power gain possibly even topping 70bhp

with this u may be able to keep up with a GTE if your lucky but you'll never be able to beat one
